Frozen Bones MCC is a new club that was formed by a group of friends in January 2009. After a successful first year we now have 25 members who regulalry attend meetings, rideouts and other events.  We feel we have now established ourselves as a well organised, friendly club for all types of bikers who live in the local and wider area of Dromore, Co Down, although we do have members from further afield, such as Belfast. Our website is used to keep members and visitors regularly updated and is meant as a bit of fun.

The Frozen Bones MCC is a non-exclusive club open to anyone who enjoys motorcycles. That means, we welcome new members to the club regardless of: age (over 18); sex; religion; background; experience; or what type of bike you ride (as long as its road legal and over 125 cc).

Although we have club officers to ensure the smooth running of the club we do not function by committee. It is intended that the club is run by its members in a relaxed and informal manner and that the members join because they want to ride bikes and simply have a great time with likeminded people.

It is very important to stress, that whilst we want members and guests to have fun, safety is of paramount importance to us all. Therefore, we are not the type of club that encourages ‘raking’ it or any other unsafe or illegal activity on the public roads. We want to promote safety and ensure that the good reputation of the club and motor biking in general is always maintained. To ensure we are able to achieve this a set of ride out guidelines has been produced along with some additional safety tips both of which are available for viewing on this website.

We want members to enjoy the informality of the organisation of the club, however, it is necessary to have a constitution that ensures smooth running without unnecessary bureaucracy. Therefore, we do have club officers to assist in administration and to ensure some level of control. They consist of: The Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. We also have a Ride Out Coordinator. But remember, we encourage members to become actively involved, which will ensure the club’s future success. This is acheived though club meetings, which always have a basic structure that includes an agenda, voting when required and minutes of meetings. Annual events such as an end of year dinner and AGM are now included in our calendar of events.

As the club develops over the coming months and years it is hoped that local bikers from all walks of life join. We will have regular monthly meetings, ride outs, overnight stays, trips abroad (hopefully), social events, support local charity events and link up with similar motor bike clubs from Northern Ireland and further afield with a view to supporting their activities and forging inter-club friendships.

If the Frozen Bones MCC is the kind of local motorcycling club that you have been looking for, then why not come along to a club meeting, join us on a ride out or you can even use our online enquiry facility. Similarly, if you require further information then you are very welcome to contact the Chairman or other club officer. There is futher information on the site to guide you.

Regards from the club Chairman.
